About

I am a photographer, documentary filmmaker, and lawyer primarily based in Houston, Texas. My wife and I grew up in Phoenix, and we also spend a substantial amount of time in Arizona and California each year.

I attended Arizona State University for both my undergraduate and law studies, and following my graduation I sat for and passed the Texas Bar Exam. I maintain an active license through the State Bar of Texas, but my legal practice (if it could be called that, though it shouldn’t) primarily consists of drafting the occasional contract for documentary work.

My photographic efforts began in earnest in 2022, and accelerated once I moved to Houston. Before leaving Phoenix, I began visiting the Phoenix Art Museum Library, and discovered such classics as Daido Moriyama’s Stray Dog, William Eggleston’s Los Alamos, and the Garry Winogrand collection 1964. Each of these opened my eyes to the aesthetic possibilities of photography and gave me a serious itch to develop my own projects.

As I became established in Houston, I began attending events, critiques, and classes organized by the Houston Center for Photography and the Flats Community Darkroom, and these have remained an indispensable component in broadening my photographic interests and skillset, as well as my network of fellow artists.

My work was recently accepted into the second annual edition of the Atlanta Center for Photography’s publication New South.
